Fruity Spa!

Oh, what a treat I've had today! 3 hours at a fantastic spa! Ooooohhh! Feel so much better too! Had a full body traditional massage, facial, flower bath and creme bath/head massage. Ohh! So fab! I feel and smell a bit fruity now!!! What did it cost? Oh, just under 15 quid! What can you get at home for that? A whole load of nothing. Gonna treat myself to some more when we're back in Bali. Flying to Flores tomorrow and will be chasing some Komodo dragons hopefully! Will let you know how we get on when we're back (in about 3 days time)

Kramisar till mamma : )

Congrats to Sharon and Trev on the house business, wanna know more though!

AND doesn't anyone out there wanna buy our lovely camper?? Need to get it off Col's Dad's lawn I hear so we're open for offers!

Come on Engeland!!!

Portugal, gotta be easy eh?!?! After Holland's game surely they don't even have any players left!??!

Come on Rooooooney!!!!!!

A ring to rule them all...

this is our chance at last!!!! Looks cool doesn't it?? Studio Perak is looking pretty hot!

Still under the weather...

Darn it, have started taking antibiotics now.... Hope to get well by tomorrow, off to Fruity Spa, I'll get covered in flowers and mud and stuff and hopefully will feel divine afterwards. Col will occupy himself in an internet cafe I think. Why he doesn't want I flower bath I do not know : )

Had some bad news from home, Mum has had an operation for gallstone (I think it's called that?), but is recovering. Don't like things happening at home... Not allowed really.

Not done much the last few days, I've been asleep and Col has been trying to keep busy. Were meant to meet up with the Dutchies again last night, but I felt so rotten, but will catch them in London definately!

Thiink maybe tonight I'll try to stay up until, well, maybe 8.30, ooohhh! Poor poor Col!

Booked our flight to Flores this morning, flying out on the 1st. Time for some Dragon Hunting indeed! Sounds like a lovely place so really looking forward to it. After that we've got a extremely busy week of horse riding, diving, quadbiking and even some cultural stuff too! Just need to get well!

Oh, got a summer job now too! Might work for Karro for a week when home! I mean, free coffee and Waffles, me and Col just can't say no to that! Oh, Col has learnt lots of useful words for ordering food in Swedish, so if he reverses it he can take orders too. Hope I remember how to as well!!! We'll see...! It all depends on just how brassic we'll be at the end of this!

Do It

We took this course you know!

Poo by the Kilo?

Oh, it's Tofu by the way! We've even been to a Tofu factory! It was at the back of a Travel agents', cool stuff!

Our Room Mate Norman

Our little friend Norman who we shared our beach bungalow with in Gili Air

Gili Air and Gili Trala la la, oh and Lombok

Howdy peeps!

We've arrived back in Bali late last night after a lovely week of r'n'r in the Gili Isles. They're just off of Lombok, no traffic, no dogs and no tourists either : )

Firstly we went to Gili Air, which was so cool! It's one of the most quiet places we've stayed. Got to know all the locals and they us. After just 2 days we just about knew everyone's names and they knew ours. Hehehe! Had some fab food, Col picked and ate the most fantastic seafood (he almost wet himself several times!). He even had 2 lobsters to himself one  night!!! heheh! Almost a little greedy, but he just couldn't leave the little one all alone after he picked the big one, how thoughtful really : ) All for the price of less than 3 quid (including veg and afters and stuff!)

Did a fair bit of snorkelling. Saw some truley weird stuff, none which we know the names of, so we took it upon ourselves to name a few: Richard Nixon fish, Eyelash fish, Racing car fish...etc etc! I was very very lucky one morning  when I headed off snorkelling on my own... Swam with a massive turtle! All alone!!! She even came up for a bit of air!!! Sweeet! But, who's gonna believe me!??!

After 5 days of eating, sleeping, drinking and football (let's not talk about the German game... Oh, but let's talk about Sweden - England! We were so lucky! That throw in was the funniest goal I've ever seen! We were lucky, stayed in a hotel where we had a telly in the room! Wohoo!!), we headed off to Gili Trawangan, just a hop along on the boat. The island was a bit of a shock to the system after Gili Air (when we left Gili Air in their taxis - horse and cart - we were constantly waiving and saying goodbye to everyone) - there were tourists! And lots and lots of people! Lot more expensive too. As we were running out of money too (no ATMs here) we just couldn't treat ourselves like we had on the other island! Damn! I think maybe I rationed too much and had to pay the price. Sat in the sun for a couple of hours, did some snorkelling... Then met Col for lunchies... He headed off on a water run.. Whilst he was away I fainted and woke up being sick on myself... Great...  Classy! Can't remember feeling this shite for ages... Anyhow, have been taking my Royal D as a good girl and am recovering. Think it was lack of food and drink, mainly drink... So typical though, met some really cool people, Patrick and Marjolein, were meant to go out for a night on the town, but me being like a ghost, we just had to cancel. Did meet up with them last night here in Bali, but I'm still feeling really weak. They just have to come and visit us in London I think! All the people we met on Gili Air were so nice too, especially a very upbeat couple from Oz.

This place is just so much friendlier than Northern Asia : )

I'm loving it : )

Mt Bromo, Java

Had a couple of days away from Bali... Went to check out some live volcanoes, very cool indeed. Last eruption was in 2004 and 2 people died, but it's not looking dangerous at the moment so we went for it. Travelled by bus and boat to Java and  Mt Bromo, took all day.. Left our hotel at 5am, and got to the other end at 7pm their time. God damn! It was pretty scenery along the way and quite comfy bus and boat, so we didn't mind too much. Col slept a lot as he's still poorly. Recovering bit by bit! We thought the fresh mountain air might help, but with all the sulphur I think it might have reversed his recovery... Oh and the strainous trekking up the volcano might not have helped either.

Stayed in a lovely little place called Cafe Lava (very appropriate of course), booked a jeep for 4am to take us to a fab lookout point for sunrise. Our guide was a little keen and woke us up at 2.30! We had just about gone to bed!!! Oh well, off we went! The ride was really cool in itself, well worth the money. Got our own jeep and guide for the morning for less than 15 quid. Unreal! It was a really cold morning, we wrapped sarongs and towels round us. All the jumpers (2) we had with us have been binned or sent home, so we just had to take the cold!

The sunrise was amazing! The whole landscape was so stunning! I think the summit is at 2000m or so, so the clouds were below the volcano too, very pretty! After a much needed cup of tea (Javan tea is the best in the world I think! No more South African!) we headed off to the base of Mt Bromo and climbed to the top. Lots of people were there, lots of them rode on little horses, but not us! we thougth the climb would do us good, and just can't be that lazy all the time now! (even though the horses could be hired for 50p! 50p!!!!! God!) The whole area was very smelly and dusty. It was hard to breathe. At the top we were met by a woman throwing up, most people were coughing and not really enjoying the whole experience to the full. We had a quick look around and headed back down before falling in or anything! That just wouldn't have been much fun and isn't on my to do list!

Took about a million pictures and they're all stunning. Can't wait to blow some up! Gonna look great on the wall in the Res eh?!

Oh, on the way back down the mountain to the town where we were to catch our bus back to Bali w had a little bit of a drama... Well, we lost the left back wheel along the way!!!! Just sliding along the road for a while but the driver did good. A load of locals came running with the wheel and they had the best entertainment they've had in days, maybe even weeks. We're here to please : )

Tomorrow we're off to Lombok and then Komodo Island for Midsummer (we hope). I wonder if they have herring, new potatoes and strawberries there... Oh and lots of vodka of course..! Will look into it!

And all the father's out there - HAPY FATHER'S DAY!

Cameron Treats...

I have to confess...Might have stuffed ourselves a little in the Cameron Highalnds.... I was in heaven though!!! Malay strawberries are not as sweet as Swedish ones, hence the cream and the sugar oh and the honey..!!! Not by choice really!!!! Ohhhh... Home made scones......Mmmmmmm....

Back in KL

Had a bit of a chill out day yesterday! Really nice! Col caught up on his emailing, and I went for a short trek in the jungle. Climbed up a small mountain, well hill I suppose, the view was fab. The sun even came out for a little while yesterday and it almost got warm! Wow! Watched the England-Paraguay game, they better improve on their game if 'football is to come home' (don't think that makes sense). What on earth is Crouch doing on the pitch? Oh well... Couldn't watch the Sweden game as we had to get up early and catch a bus back to KL... Just as well... What a joke... 0-0 against bloody Trinidad Tobago, they don't even play football do they?? Grrrrr! So frustrated!

Anyway, off for some shopping today, then lots of food and maybe cinema??! And on Tuesday we're flying out to BALI! Oh yes oh yes! Gonna become a cool surfer chick now you see! Ahhhh!

Cameron Highlands

Today has been one of those fantastic days! Ahhh! Had a cool tour organised. Woke up to the sound of rain, oh well! That just couldn't spoil our good moods...The Col couldn't find his beloved hat...It's just disappeared from the face of the earth! Anyway, not even that could ruin today! First we went to a Rose garden. It was raining but when we climbed the top of the hill, the clouds parted, the sun poked out and we had the moist amazing views! It's so stunning here! Saw some lovely flowers too, one was called Jade Vine, wow! It was so pretty! Will post a pic for you. After that we headed to a Strawberry farm!!! YUM!!!! Got strawberries and cream in true Midsummer style!!! Fab! Then onto a Butterfly garden, ooohhh!!! As it's a little cold and rainy today the butterflies sat very still and you could pick them up!!! They were just the prettiest things! Saw lots of other bugs too, and we got to pet them! One was shaped and looked just like a real leaf! Wicked! Held a few different geckos and stuff like that too! Ohhh! Did stay away from the poisinous snakes though, and the Turantulas...

And as if the day couldn't get annnnyyyy better we headed off to Boh Tea Factory!!!! Cool! Drank lots of tea and saw one of the most stunning sceneries I have ever seen!!!! And then our camera went flat of course!!!!! Grrrr!

Went to a lovely Chinese Buddhist temple and then off for a banana leaf curry, followed by an hours sleep! Oh, holidays they just wear you out! Next on the agenda is FOOTBALL!!! Soo excited!!!

Wanna let everyone know too that Jenny gave birth to a gorgeous Isac boy on the 26th! Grattis! : )

And Happy Birthday Emsen! Planned to call you yesterday but I was sick as a dog, so no go jo! Hope you had a fab day though!!!xxx

Emsen!

Ar det samma stovlar??? vart saljer de dom, i stan?? ooohhh! vill ha! har hittat en affar som heter Vincci, saaa fina skor!!!!!

Oh...!

.. in Thai cinema you have to stand for the National Anthem and honour the King before the film starts

... in Malaysia they have adverts for beer, being a Muslim country it's a wee bit bizaar I think

... also, I had to buy a 15 quid skirt today to bring into the cinema as I had forgotten my sarong (the cinemas are soooo cold!)

.. oh and the tickets are like 1 quid here too, so we'll be visiting on a nightly basis when in KL. Off to the Cameron Highlands tomorrow though, strawberries, tea plantations and golf is on the agenda (don't ask why golf, I don't even know!!!)

06/06/06

To celebrate this spectacular date we went and saw the re make of The Omen today! Wooho!!! At least we only wasted 20 Ringgit, which is about 2 quid! Just don't do it! It's sooooo bad!!!! We saw X-Men the other day too.... A tad disappointed to say the least.... Parts of it were good, but storyline not to great.... Saw Da Vinci Code a few weeks ago too, now, that's what I call the coolest car getaway scene ever!! Go little Smart Car!

Waiting for Pirates to come out now, but it just doesn't look as fab as the first one was.... Hopefully I'm wrong!

Black Tip Reef Shark

Gorgeous!

Seperated at birth?

Taman Negara

We have just returned from the wonderful Taman Negara Tropical rainforest. And we survived!

Had a wonderful time. Saw a few animals too, monkeys playing in the trees, monitor lizards, boars, strange birds, that kind of thing. Stayed in a lovely place called Park Lodge, all you could hear at night was the jungle, cool! Slept so well! Did a little bit of trekking, not too much, just too many weird bugs! Col got bit by a giant ant (we think), his hand swelled up a bit. We were in the middle of this 500 meter long canopy walk (no turning back, and you just can't get down!) so a bit of trauma. Luckily I'm like a walking pharmacy so had just the thing for it! And as he's still here with me, it was nothing too poisionous! Lucky!

To get to the jungle we had a 9 hour train journey through it (hmm! I know! But we had to get to this particular part of the jungle you see!). All the locals were so friendly! We were fed lots of weird fruits (Armadillo fruit, get it from a Tescos near you?!) and constantly chatted to. Everyone wanted a piece of us! I think I scared a little baby though, she had never seen a girl like me and almost started crying.. OOoops!! Everyone loves Col too, he's even loosing his voice from too much talking! In the park this lovely lady thought he was Ace from American Idol! Think she wanted an autograph! Heheh!

In Kuala Lumpor now. Wow! So great! Off shopping tomorrow I hope!!!! Booking flight to Bali too, not sure what we're doing about Indonesia. We were planning on going to Java, and in particular the area where the earthquake happened last week... So that's obviously not possible now. And the volcano there is about to erupt too I think, so we'll just have to do a few islands instead! Ohhh, not more beaching it!!!! Oh well, if we must we must!!!!

Did I tell you we swam with SHARKS AND TURTLES!??!?! SHARKS!!!!! OOOHhhhh!! Must have been the coolest thing ever EVER EVER!!!!!!!!

Maste ha!

OK< vem vet en affar som heter Nilson och dar jag kan inskaffa dessa??? Sag dem i en svensk tidning... Maste ha!!!!! Storlek 38 om ni hittar dem OK??!?
