Wondering where we are?

well, we're in sweden at the moment! having a fab chill out time! had remke and marloes over from holland, and matty from home. the girls have just left this morning! been so lovely to see them! been far too long since last time!

we've had midsummer fun of course, been to the beach, had a tour of the island! cool! matty didn't get to see much as per usual he had a couple of nights booked at the airport : ) bad timing yet again! next time, phone and check if the flight is good!

midsummer eve was very cold and rainy but we had a fab time still! lots of lovelyt people and nice food and drinks! had a big lunch too, so it was like an eating marathon! ems couldn't make it over as she had toothache, she's cursed i think when it comes to parties and us in sweden! always something! managed to catch a real midsommar dans too, in the rain and cold wind! the guys had to help to put the pole up, and was it windy or what!??! did some dancing and singing and the girls thought it was just a litttttlllle weird! it was fun though!

been playing lots of kubb too, the girls even bought a set to take home : )

think it's time for some tea and cake now, need to warm up! it's cold and rainy now!

oh, i did go swimming on midsummer day! damn it was cold! good cure for a hangover though!

Gotheborg

Last weekend we saw the lovely old ship Gotheborg. It went up the Thames to HMS Belfast then back home to Sweden via Tower Bridge - it was gorgeous to see it go through the bridge (never seen it up before). Had a fab time.

Chilled out with Col's mum and Trev, went to Science museum too, then home to us for some Chinese alla Col. Mmmm!

Read Col's blog for further details!!!

Week at work was a bit mad, absolutely knackered last night. Col's got a nice holiday before we go away and is looking after me, making me packed lunch and dinner when I get home. And, he's finally been paid! Woooh! To celebrate we went to The Globe Theatre on the South Bank (where else, it is after all the real one, or as real as it gets). We saw The Merchant of Venice and it was absolutely fantastic. The whole place feels magical. You'd think you were back in Shakespearean times, until a plane flew over!

This weekend is not going to plan - got to Great Ashby and Col's ill! He's been asleep most of the day at his Mum's. We've got the step grandparents' 65th Wedding Anniversary to attend later tonight, but I think it's a write off. And Dr Who is on tonight, so I just don't see how we could go anywhere! (Last two episodes have been brill, Jessica Stevenson was in them! Cool!)

Were gonna make Lisa's curry potato salllad for tonight, but I think it'll have to wait!

Oh, the summer has arrived properly now! Hot and sunny at last! This is not good news for the tube though. I gotta start cycling! Absolutely horrid to be stuck next to a load of smelly men! Yuk!
