Whitstable and the Lewis's

Just got back from the SEASIDE! All that fresh air! Mmmm!

Col and I took the Love Bug for a final outing and drove to Kent to see Jan, Guss, Faithie, Sophie, Phoebe, Isis, Candy, Willow and Bailey! So lovely to see them all! They moved there from Ilford about 5 months ago and this was the first time we've been to see their new house - and it's gorgeous! (wouldn't expect anything less!)

Been far too long since I saw them last! Faith is such a big girl now! Like a teenager! Little Miss Chatterbox I think!

We went for a lovely stroll along the Sea front with Guss and the dogs, which was fantastic. They have the cutest beach huts along there, all very English. Then the boys had some oysters, as you do when you go for a stroll in Whitstable!?! Back at the house the fire was lit, yummy food was eaten and lots of chatting to catch up on everything.

This morning we were woken by SS - Sunshine and sSeagulls!! Fantastic! Jan gave us instructions on how to get to Canterbury and we headed off. Got there really quickly, found parking and wandered around the city for a few hours. It's so lovely! Full of boutiques, old, old houses, and the Cathedral of course. We didn't go in 'cos we're tight b-stards, save it for next time! It looked stunning from the outside, so next time, definately.

The drive home was very long, and I managed to get us a little bit off track again. Never saw the turn off for the M25 and Dartford Tunnel and ended up going through the East End (the tunnel was tiiiiny and scary!), luckily I know that corner of the world pretty well and got us back on the M25 after a really "clever shortcut" (so I thought anyway! Col didin't find is as amusing as I did!). We made it home in the end though! Chill out time now!
