God, how wrong I was about Vietnam!! OK, so the first lot of people we came across were complete w*nkers, but the rest of them are just lovely!!! Completely mad the lot of them! So chatty and happy, always ready to smile! We've met some characters that's for sure!
Been to lots of great places, my fav has probably been Hoi An, dress makers everywhere! But I didn't have anything made!!! Wasn't feeling to great, so thought I'd leave it for another town. And now I find out that Hoi An was the place to get your clothes made! Grrr!! And shoes!!!! I could have designed whatever I wanted!!! God damn I need to go back there! Oh, and there's the old town there which was really pretty! The nicest coffeeshops everywhere too. Had some fantastic cakes too : ) Mmmm! Spent more on cakes than we did on our dinners!!! Hahah!
After Hoi An it was time for some beaching in Nha Trang. Went island hopping, did some snorkelling (not quite like Oz, but we still saw all the Finding Nemo characters!) Managed to get stung quite a lot by some nasty little jelly fish too, but they only left small marks, so no biggy, just uncomfortable! Met a really nice Dutch girl too, Ingeborg, another person to visit one day! Lots of highly annoying Americans too! Uggh! Got told that Dragonfruit grow on trees for example! Really? Almost in the same league as the English guy who asked if I spoke fluent Swedish (he had seen my passport...) We mostly try not to mix with these people!!!
Right now we're in Dalat, up in the mountains. Col loves it as it's much cooler here. We're 1500 meters above sea level I think. Lots of tea and coffee plantations, veg gallore, waterfalls etc. We're braving the hills tomorrow on mountain bikes to go and see a place referred to as Crazy House. It has been created by some guy to be like Alice in Wonderland...I think...! Will get back to you on this one though!
